Nubbit — Inclusive Design for Everyday Technology

Clair Boubli is an inspiring entrepreneur and jewellery designer who set out to create a practical solution for users with reduced dexterity and grip strength, enabling safe and comfortable use of tablets for both education and entertainment.

The resulting product, Nubbit, was engineered to securely hold a range of tablets without risk of damage, combining usability with a refined, product-led aesthetic.

A robust manufacturing strategy was developed around an overmoulded construction with no moving parts, incorporating an internal weight system to optimise balance and control of the centre of gravity. This was achieved through a cost-efficient tooling approach while maintaining a high-quality finish.

Throughout development, national and international patents were secured, establishing a strong global protection framework for the innovation and supporting its long-term commercial potential.
