Voltrics — High-Reliability Connector Innovation
Voltrics was founded by entrepreneur Greg Cox, driven by a clear ambition to rethink the fundamentals of electrical connector design. Initially engaged to support the technical development of a conceptual “ball and socket” interface, my role evolved into mentoring the venture through to engagement with an industry-leading Swiss electrical connector manufacturer.
This work led to the creation of uncontested global patents with no prior art, establishing a genuinely novel approach to connector architecture.
Physical validation was exceptional. Rapid-prototyped assemblies demonstrated zero wear and no measurable degradation in performance after 35,000 operational cycles. Projected performance for production-grade components extended this durability by several orders of magnitude, reaching up to 35,000,000 cycles.
The result represents a significant advancement in connector robustness, particularly for cabling systems exposed to repeated flexural loading and fatigue-driven failure modes.
