Design-Led Safety — From Concept to Investable Business

Driven by a clear need to protect kitchen knives from misuse and to keep them safely out of reach of young children, I worked closely with the founder to shape the concept into a viable safety-focused business. The approach used high-quality design as the primary mechanism for driving commercial traction and market adoption.

The idea was developed into a structured product and business proposition, supported by a formal business plan. International intellectual property was created, filed, and successfully granted, establishing a defensible foundation for the company. This in turn enabled engagement with the investment community to secure the funding required to build and scale the business.
